シヴォリの《カプリッチ》の初の近代校訂版——パガニーニ自身の《カプリッチ》に次いで最も重要なヴァイオリン作品——を、これらを最初に演奏したフルヴィオ・ルチアーニが編纂しました。本改訂版は、演奏に必要なあらゆる指示を提供しています。
解説では、シヴォリの驚くべき現代性——彼はパガニーニ唯一の弟子であり、同時に世界的に著名なヴァイオリニストでもありました——を分析するとともに、これまでに出版されてきた《カプリッチ》の諸版との比較を通じて、（ヴァイオリニストの）嗜好や技術習慣の変遷をたどっています。

"The first modern edition of Sivori’s Capricci - the most important violin piece after Paganini’s own Capricci - by Fulvio Luciani, who first played them. This revised edition provides all the indications needed for its performance. Thenotes analyse Sivori’s extraordinary modernity - he was Paganini’s only student and also a world-famous violinist - and track the evolutions in taste and technical habits (of the violinists) by means of comparison with all the previous editions ofthe Capricci over the years. The Appendix contains versions of 3 Capricci accompanied by piano, two of which being published for the first time.
